TYPES OF FRIENDS:
How do we celebrate friendships day in India?
Friendships day is one of the most awaited days for the youngsters in India. They look forward to meet their friends and carry out the procedures for the special day. It is celebrated in the country on the first Sunday of August every year. About a week before this special day every year, the shops start filling themselves with a variety of ' friendship bands'. People buy these bands and then tie them to the wrists of all their friends. We also write the words ‘ Happy Friendship Day ’ on each other’s arms using a marker for that little extra fun and finish off with the name of the writer. After all of this is done , pictures are clicked and it becomes a memorable part of the year.
The Friendship Effect will make your life better and more worth living.
Friendship as medicine:
Many studies over the years have found that people generally live longer, happier, healthier lives if they have a strong network of support from friends. Loneliness can be bad for a person’s health. The ones without social ties are most likely to suffer from heart diseases , anxiety and depressions. Whereas people with strong social ties are less prone to accidents, suicide and death due to heart diseases.
Why a person need friends in every stage of his life
No scale can measure the number of times we speak to our friends everyday. A person needs a friend not only to share his problems and excitements but also to seek good advice. We need someone we can count on to treat us nice. We need friends because we are social in nature, and having friends makes us feel secure. People who do not have good friends or true friends, keep hiding their problems which makes them negative. We need someone to be beside us when we are facing problems. Suppressing our feelings can prove harmful to the state of mind and therefore it is necessary that we have a trust worthy person with whom we can share our emotions. Friends are the ones who make us feel lively and help us come out of depressions and help us up when we experience the downfalls.
How does social media affect friendship?
Joining a chat group or online community might help you make or maintain connections and relieve loneliness. It might help you to interact with people if you find it difficult. However, research suggests that use of social networking sites doesn't necessarily translate to a larger offline network or closer offline relationships with network members. In addition, it is necessary to remember to exercise caution when sharing personal information or arranging an activity with someone you've only met online.
How can you nurture your friendships?

Why is it sometimes hard to make friends or maintain friendships?
Many adults find it hard to develop new friendships or keep up existing friendships. Friendships may take a back seat to other priorities, such as work or caring for children or aging parents. You and your friends may have grown apart due to changes in your lives or interests. Or maybe you've moved to a new community and haven't yet found a way to meet people.Developing and maintaining good friendships takes effort. The enjoyment and comfort friendship can provide, however, makes the investment worthwhile.
One of the most beautiful qualities of true friendship is to understand and to be understood.

TYPES OF FRIENDS:
- Just Friends : Some friends are not close. Its just a matter of a hello and goodbye which too takes place only because they know eachother. Such friends don’t really interact deeply but just discuss important stuff usually pertaining to studies. For example: some of our classmates.
- Good Friends: There is always a friends group in which an individual stays in. Such type of friends are the ones with whom we can have laughter riots, crack random jokes and we are not really conscious about ourselves when we are within such groups of friends.
- Best Friends: Such types of friends are soulmates. We can share our joy and problems with each other without any hesitation. These are perhaps the only ones in front of whom we can truly be ourselves. True friends are hard to find but when you find them , they make your life worth living.
